Dog Licenses for 2009
Dog licenses expired as of December 31, 2009. All dogs need to have new licenses every year.
The Mail In Dog License Form can be found on the Documents section of this web site.
The new dog tags and licenses are available at this time in the Town Clerk's Office.
A $5.00 late fee will be applied to your licenses after April 1st.
A $50.00 citation will be issued if not licensed before May 1st.
The dog officer will be checking for unlicensed dogs.
The Town Clerk's Office is open:
Monday - 12:00pm - 2:00pm & 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Wednesday - 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Saturday - 8:30am - 10:00am
All dogs must be licensed after 6 months of age.
All dogs must have an up to date rabies vaccination.
No owner or keeper of a dog shall permit such animal to run at large except on his own premises. (Run at large means free of restraints and permitted to wander on private or public ways and property.)
All dogs shall be restrained on a leash or under immediate control of its owner or keeper.
Dogs running at large may be impounded and a citation will be issued and a fee of $50.00 will be charged plus $10.00/day board - and if the dog is unlicensed another fee of $50.00 will be charged.
This year the dog officer will be issuing $50 citations to owners of unlicensed dogs. The citation will instruct the owner to appear before the Selectmen or to the Court House to pay their fine. |
