Forms to apply for motor vehicle abatements will be mailed on request from the assessor's office.
If it is a transfer, we need a copy of your new registration.
On a plate return, cancellation, or lost plate, send us a copy of the plate return receipt or the lost plate receipt.
No motor vehicle excise may be reduced to less than $5.00.
No motor vehicle abatement of less than $5.00 will be granted and no refund of less than $5.00 will be made.
For further information regarding this notice, please direct your inquiries to the Board of Assessors at (978) 249-1732, or stop by the Town Hall during office hours:
Monday - 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Thursday - 10:30am - 3:00pm
